DESCRIPTION:
MOLY-PAUL 707 is a Molybdenum Disulphide dispersion in xylene/alcohol solvent with phenolic resin binder.
TYPICAL USE:
Used for the lubrication of surfaces and bearings which are subject to solvent attack. This would include such things as hydraulic fluids and anti-freeze solutions. Will operate over a wide range of temperatures, i.e. -50°C to 200°C.
METHOD OF APPLICATION:
The material is applied by dip, brush or spray onto the pre-treated surface (for metal pre-treatment see Memorandum A.12). The coating should be stoved at 165°C for 30 minutes. If a thicker coating is required, each layer should be stoved at 135°C for 15 minutes before adding the next.
The resultant bond is resistance to attack by Trichloroethylene, Hydrocarbon solvents, polyhydric alcohols, hydraulic fluids, anti-freeze solution, dilute acids and alkalis.
